All About Choice
Thanks Jen, we have enjoyed your sessions greatly – it is an absolute treat to be able to have you work with the children over time / several sessions.
I have asked staff for feedback and some of the comments are as follows:
Children more calm generally
Easy to follow up in classroom; fits very well with our current ethos and approach
Able to refer to sessions when incidents occur between children
Sincere thanks for your time and passion Jenny, a very worthwhile program for us to invest in.
Cheers,

You really were fantastic. Thank you so much for all your effort and planning. Have received some great feedback from staff and students. I think it will be a goer next year again. Haven’t heard anything negative at all. The kids had a great time and their parents are happy!!
Staff seem to think it was beneficial.

Thanks Jen,
We appreciated your calm and persistence with some of our more difficult students. I think anything relaxation is invaluable as a life skill for kids living in challenging circumstances.
I also appreciate the way you have used the language of relaxation and blocking to help kids understand and participate in learning these skills.
Thanks again for the invaluable program that you have provided.

How has the program benefited your class?
Has helped students relax and focus on their own bodies and movement
Promoting a calm approach and giving them skills to relax
Another resource/skill for students to use when needed
Focus on breathing as a tool before beginning lessons – settle and focus students for learning
Given them the chance to relax and think about their control of their body
Difficult to judge. Will possibly gain more if we continue throughout the year
½ class really got into it – those who really needed it just lost it and it set them off for the rest of the day
It has helped a lot of them to be more mature and more aware of their surroundings
What are the strengths of the program?
To get students to focus, teaches students control and focus
That it builds each session and each week
The grounding and breathing exercises and Chinese Boxing
Full group participation
Given some children opportunity to learn a skill they have never met before
Students in control, empowered
Supportive, calm, all students can participate
Relaxation, continued patterns
Calm instructor
Provides students with another – but easy tool that engages their whole body
What will you take away from the lessons?
Skills for warm ups and the T’ai Chi moves
Some of the movements to use when I’m stressed and to use for relaxation in the classroom
Focus and control
Steps that develop balance
A skill that is in development
Like the idea that the children can transfer skills (e.g. blocking out) to their own life
Breathing and grounding exercises for myself when behaviours are getting too much
Use as an option to relax and re-focus on themselves rather than others
Do you think you will continue to develop T’ai Chi with your students?
Yes – possibly not as in depth but part of a relaxation process or in change over sessions
Will give it a go
Yes particularly the relaxation aspect
Maybe later in the year when the class is more settled – some of my students found it hard to relax
Will give it a try using DVD and some leaders, feel a little hesitant as I only did 3 sessions
No unfortunately. I would like it if the targeted group of students did some work on it as a small group
I might revisit it later in the year with another class
Any other comments
Thank you Jen for all that you have done
Thanks Jen – I’m aware that some of the earlier sessions were challenging
Some of my students found it hard to relax and concentrate for the length of the lesson. Maybe some faster movement sequences as well as the Tai Chi to get students to focus on difference
Thanks
I like it when you are on the stage as the children can see more clearly your movements
I like the way you involve all children in the demonstrations
I dooo like your calm, consistent manner
Rock and Water
Jenny’s presentation. Her calm, strong, patient approach is a perfect model for all that Rock and Water stands for. Her manner is infectious and continually encourages students (and teachers) to build on their own inner strength and resilience

A selection of comments from Conference Participants
Thanks Jen – a good mix of theory and practical. Gave me a good introduction to the course, I look forward to taking it into my classroom.
I found it well presented and easy to follow. I had a great day. 10/10!
Lots of exercises I can use in my classroom. Clear delivery, fun, time went quickly.
I can apply it to personal as well as student’s life.
Engages whole person – physical / mental
Great to try all the activities, so you know what they look like in practice and how it makes you feel.
Excellent instructor, motivational and strong!!! Impressive commitment. Thank-you Jen.
Thinking Partnerships
Thinking Partnerships for me is a means to help break through some blocks to growth I experience;
it also encourages me to keep making my positive efforts in many life areas.
In a friendly, supportive way, Jenny actively directs me to acknowledge these blocks, to focus on
the optimal health and happiness I seek and on how to get there, and to enjoy the process.
Thinking Partnerships is a very positive means to keep seizing opportunities to develop one's life through dynamic conversation and collaborative action planning and follow-up with a highly skilled and trained coach,Jenny Binney.

Relaxation
Thanks Jen. A great chance to focus on ourselves, the exercises were relaxing and a good way to develop that sense of calm we all want more of! An opportunity for us to take on board a few new ideas for ‘destressing’ and looking after us!
